Allerji ve Klinik İmmünoloji Ailesinin Değerli Üyeleri,

28 Mayıs'tan beri Türkiye ciddi bir toplumsal hareketlenme yaşamaktadır. Gezi Parkı'nda barışçıl şekilde başlayan protestolar orantısız bir güçle bastırılmaya çalışıldıkça daha kalabalıklaşmış ve kitleselleşmiştir.

Bu süreçte pek çok üyemiz bireysel olarak protestoların içinde veya doktor kimlikleriyle protestocuların yanında yer almışlardır.

Parkına, kentine, demokratik haklarına sahip çıkan insanlarımızı destekliyor; bireylerin demokratik haklarını orantısız bir güçle bastırmaya çalışan tüm müdahaleleri kınıyoruz.

HANGİ HASTALARDA İMMÜN YETMEZLİK DÜŞÜNÜLMELİDİR ?

Canlı organizmanın kendisine yabancı olan mikroorganizma ve antijenleri tanıma, onları durdurma ve öldürme kapasitesine immün sistem (savunma sistemi) adı verilir. Vücudumuzu mikroplara karşı koruyan immün sistemimiz; humoral (antikor bağımlı, B hücre), hücresel (T hücre), fagositer ve kompleman sistemleri olmak üzere dört sistemden oluşmaktadır. Bu sistemlerden herhangi birinde meydana gelen yetersizlik sonucu immün yetmezlik hastalıkları ortaya çıkar.

İmmünoloji alanında son yıllarda meydana gelen hızlı gelişme sonucu immün yetmezlik hastalıklarının erken tanısı mümkün olabilmektedir. Hekimlerin bu hastalıkların klinik bulgularını iyi bilmesiyle immün yetmezlikli hastaların erken tanısı gerçekleşecek hastalar daha kaliteli ve uzun yaşama, en önemlisi de tedavi imkanına kavuşacaklardır. Bunun yanında tanı alan olgu sayesinde, ailelere genetik danışma verilmesi ve prenatal tanı uygulamaları mümkün hale gelecektir.İmmün yetmezlik hastalıklarında erken tanı konmasında yol gösterici olan bazı klinik özellikler vardır (Tablo 1).
